You never know what you might find at the thrift store. Now that football is over (and I can't decide if I'm happy or sad about that right now) I don't find myself in the "thrift part of town" on a daily basis anymore. Maybe that's a good thing for the ol' pocketbook. Besides, I believe I'm supposed to be reducing, not collecting. Anyhoo, enough about that, and on to my incredible $1.99 find.
Are these not the sweetest little figurines?
Wait, check out those wise men. I think they might be up to something.
And then take a closer look at the sleeping baby...what a sweetie!
Did you notice the awesome vintage tray they are resting on? I got 12 of them! Love the teal...and I have a great idea for what to do with them! (Shh--it's a secret--maybe even a Christmas present.)
This is a shepherd, but we're calling him Joseph, because the set didn't include dear ol' dad.
Please disregard the fact that I have the knuckliest thumbs known to opposable thumbkind.
Here's what I know about this nativity set...
Okay, well that just about wraps it up!
No, actually, I believe it was manufactured in Japan. Now you really have plumbed the depths of my knowledge, because that's all I've come up with so far. If you know anything more than I do (and come on, I set the bar low!) please feel free to share!
