Can She Bake a Cherry Pie?

For her birthday, all Annika wanted from Jon was one of his mom's cherry pies. (BTW, this is a different Jon; suddenly all her guy friends are named Jon or John.)

Anyway, this is what's left of a beautifully executed lattice-topped pie. Trust me, it was glorious, and duly appreciated before we dove in.

This morning I had one of my all time favorite breakfasts: pie and coffee. It doesn't get any better than that!
