A Day of Change

Yesterday...I did it...

and they did it...for the first time...

and hopefully I grew a little wiser too...

Notice the very creative wrap job. I was informed that duct tape matches better than blue painter's tape. I dunno; I'd a thunk they might have used oh, let's say...Scotch tape? I guess it was too hard to find over there on the kitchen counter right next to the office drawer sitting in its very own desktop dispenser. Well, I'm not 13; what do I know? Hey... at least I didn't have to wrap my own presents...I guess they really do love me!

Here's my funky new tripod...
And my new cool camera bag.

I think an explanation is in order for the following pictures. As you may or may not know, I live in Arizona. Maybe that gives you a little clue as to my political leanings. And as I am sure you realize by now, my birthday fell on election day this year. My family decided to acknowledge the elephant in the room (actually the donkey, in this case) and just go with it.

I share these photos with you, not to document an historic election year, but to highlight one of my many flaws--apparently, I can't open my eyes, even when I try. Darn, there goes my modeling career!
Yep. It's confirmed. I'm a goober.

Can you feel the love?

This is better...I'm feelin' it now!

A day of change, but a good day...
"This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it."
Psalm 118:24

Happy birthday!

And thanks for reminding me to "be glad and rejoice in it." I think I momentarily forgot.

Happy Birthday! My brother turned 50 yesterday....pretty cool. He's easy to shop for on election years because he collects campaign buttons. I bought 20 McCain/Palin campaign buttons yesterday on-line for $10. I bet Obama's have gone up in price already! LOL

Those tri-pods are neat...let me know how you like it.
